The Candidate

Hello! I put this together to take you on a short journey, sharing why I believe a nomadic storyteller and entrepreneur is a great combination to helping you build and market products that solve real problems and permeate people’s souls.

The first stop is a short film to share a taste as to why I have a personal conviction for storytelling,

and where it can and should go in the near future.

For the last 12 years…

I have been building and experimenting with products and experiences at the intersection of where product meets story. From co-founding two consumer software companies that helped unleash people’s own stories and ideas, getting to drive key (and mundane) aspects, short of writing the code, (although I did attempt it before my face melted!), from unearthing novel and innovative ideas ahead of their time, product and project managing in-house to remote teams from 2 to 24 people spanning many disciplines, in-the-trenches execution of crafting narrative, pushing pixels with design, illustrating characters and worlds, filming and editing, to the fundraising, investor and partnership management and negotiations… and of course, taking out the trash. The point being that no task was too big or small, as I work backwards from goals, budgets, and timelines.

The journey this last 5 years in particular, has taken me to dozens of countries in almost every continent, with no map other than to accumulate stories and build empathy, interacting with humans from many expressions of reality, getting to see our distinct differences, and more importantly, our common threads that unite us. This is something that has become a daily contribution to how I think about and apply what serves the broader collective in a way that is needed in this wonderfully unique time in history.

In short, Story is everything. The stories we tell, and how we tell them, matter.

I want to share just a few stories of some of my last projects, and why I think they are relevant.

Other projects not listed above, include writing and illustrating children’s books, designing and performing in immersive storytelling experiences, developing toys for Funko, organizing and facilitating tech and storytelling events, facilitating design sprints and hackathons for corporate clients and startups, organizing experiential events for global community retreats, developing and facilitating Mastermind accountability and productivity courses for extreme personal and professional growth and achievement, building and launching a time capsule toward Alpha Centauri in a project to create trans-generational empathy, and many more fun, off-the-wall, creative projects at the intersection of story, product, and experience.

Kyle is a genius clarifier and igniter. He has the ability to take opportunities with complex interactions between actors and stakeholders, and turn them into effective actions and crystal clear process, leading straight to the intended goal.

Having him on a team is truly a pleasure, often over-delivering and surprising everyone involved by his many skills and talents. He effectively puts everyone to work, and shows quality by example. Truly, a great leader and visionary, and a joy to be around!

Gallup / Clifton StrengthsFinders

As a “Reality: Storytellers” alum, I was recently asked by the hosting Schusterman Foundation to facilitate their upcoming Reality program in Israel. A pre-requisite for facilitators, is we take part in a leadership training program to better equip us to hold space for fast paced, emotionally charged experiences among a diverse group of carefully selected participants.

We spent the majority of the programming on the topics of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness, which included identifying and dismantling cognitive biases, and defining every day microaggressions.

As a precursor to the program, we were asked to complete the CliftonStrengths assessment, to identify our top individual themes to discover what we naturally do best.

This section is the results of this extensive guided questionnaire.

People exceptionally talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.

People exceptionally talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They want to do things now, rather than simply talk about them.

People exceptionally talented in the Self-Assurance theme feel confident in their ability to take risks and manage situations. They have an inner compass that gives them certainty in their decisions.

People exceptionally talented in the Command theme have presence. They can effectively take control of a situation and make decisions.

People exceptionally talented in the Adaptability theme prefer to go with the flow. They tend to be “now” people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

For a more in-depth breakdown of these themes, you can view the PDF here.

Thank you for sharing your attention.

Let’s journey & manifest, together!
